The Shawl Lapel

Before understanding something, one must know the history.

The Shawl lapel was first featured to the world when the Victorian Smoking jacket was revealed. This jacket is a garment made of silk or velvet with a combined collar and lapel. The Shawl lapels are quite versatile and are very simple to create, due to the round neckline. The collar focuses on the face of a #SharpCrispClean individual and gives a unique definition of the person's silhouette, making them look more lean. Women love men in a suit that's tailored, fitted and that stands out in a good way.

Shawl Lapel as we know it

Styles are known to come and go based on certain seasons. One would describe styles as a trend that comes and goes as often as friends do. The classic, traditional, irresistible shawl lapel jacket is defined as the style that disappears better than Houdini in Men's Fashion. The Shawl lapel, roll collar, or shawl collar is a continuous curve most commonly used on the dinner jacket or tuxedo. A jacket that can be used for formal or informal evening wear.

When determining a look for the night one must first think of himself and then the audience. A #SharpCrispClean individual must always "Suit Up Right" for the occasion and should aim to make everyone in the room describe him as being . . . . . .  Sharp , Crisp, Clean.

The Shawl lapel is being featured currently in all award ceremonies by all the famous stars, high school students attending prom & and homecoming and in wedding parties. 2015 has been the year of the Shawl Lapel and I would advise everyone if possible to have one in your wardrobe. The comeback is here to stay as long its being worn correctly. Personally the Shawl lapel gives individuals the classic B.O.S.S. Look.  Business-Men Originate Situational Suits

Suit up Right

If you suit up right you will be #SharpCrispClean day and night.  A man's wardrobe should always  contain a variety of professional attire. A nice tailored #SharpCrispClean suit should be at the top of the list for every gentleman in the world. A wise man once said,

Clothes and manners do not make the man; but when he is made, they greatly improve his appearance.
— Arthur Ashe

In reference towards an earlier blog " What Women Want" women loves a man in a tailored suit, so fellas take note to what is said in this blog and run with it.

Professionalism, sharpness, confidence and standing out above the rest is what a man in a  #SCC suit exudes. In order to know what to buy and wear one must ask himself three questions, 1. Does the suit  suit you?  2. Are you wearing the suit correctly? 3. Does the suit fit the occasion? These questions will always lead an individual in the right direction in regards to acquiring the right suit.  Before understanding the details one must know the basics!! Class is in session, so lets educate!! Thank me later

Single Button Suit

The one button suit can be worn  to any special moments of your life except for interviews. The classic one button is normally considered  in reference towards dinner jackets and shawl lapels. Any individual can pull off this exquisite suit and maximize the complete look, when worn properly. The button of your jacket should be fasten while standing and unbutton when sitting down.

Two Button Suit

Undeniably,  the most well know style of suits is the two button suit. It looks amazing and it fits every occasion. Regardless of weight and height every gentleman can wear a two button suit. The proper way to wear a two button is to always button the top button while unfastening only when sitting down.

Three Button Suit

The three button suit is a timeless look and has been worn for occasions that do not require a specific professional or formal attire. The last button should absolutely be open and when sitting down all should be unbuttoned. The suit is worn more so by the bold and fit's taller individuals.

Double Breasted

Double Breasted suits are classified as the suit you wear when your confidence is high, a fresh haircut and a great sense of style. The double breasted suit is the kid in middle school that everyone loves sometimes and hates others. This suit is in and out of style but when done correctly, eyes will gaze in amazement. Most double breasted suits have a peak lapel and can be worn to professional settings. (Not Interviews) The top button should be fastened only. * Inside the suit should be fastened as well hence the name double breasted.

Vest Life

“History always repeats itself” a wise man once told me, and as the years go by that statement is definitely a fact. At one point in time vest were expensive, worn by only those with money and associated with older gentlemen. Now a days vest are back by popular demand and are worn to casual and business professional  events all over the world.  According to Merriam-webster.com a vest is a sleeveless piece of clothing with buttons down the front that is worn over a shirt and under a suit jacket.  Having a vest within your wardrobe adds another dynamic and is beneficial because you spend money but you gain more.

In regards to style it’s always important that you know the do’s and don’t when wearing specific garment. In this case a vest first should be well-fitted and long enough to cover a man’s waist. The shoulders of the vest are a key component, which tells us how well it fits an individual and should lie flat against the body. While wearing a vest with a suit the v-shape of the vest should be visible and not hidden by the lapels of the suit.  The bottom button of a vest should always be left undone.  These are traditions that not everyone may be aware of but should be followed and respected to the utmost. Vest have been apart of men’s fashion for years, with very little change in structure and design. Adding a few carefully selected vest could lead to a wide range of options to make you look #SharpCrispClean

When a tradition gathers enough strength to go on for centuries, you don’t just turn it off one day.

The Love of the Bow Tie

When you wear a bow tie, doors open for you. Your posture is a little more erect; your shoulders are a little further back; your style is a little more dynamic. It’s about the reestablishment of the gentleman.
— Dhani Jones

The bow tie hints at intellectualism, style, individualism and confidence. A type of necktie that is acceptable for numerous events and makes the outfit #SharpCrispClean. Self tie bow ties show the artistic side of an individual and suggest technical acumen.

The bow tie is not for the individual just starting to develop a sense of style. Before adding one to your wardrobe be sure to master the art  of professional and cosmo wear. The bow tie exhibits versatility. The man who wears bow ties is not afraid to experiment. The love of the bow tie has spread like wild fire. The love of the bow tie comes from people wanting to be different and expressing their personality. I compare bow tie shopping to a buffet. I say this because just like a buffet you can choose what you want. In regards to bow ties. In regards to bow ties you choose the material, pattern, color, and what you want to wear with it.
